Why We're Different
Built for brains
still becoming.

Most kids' tennis starts at 3–4. We start at 18 months — because the science says that's when gross motor patterns are being permanently wired.

"

"My daughter is 22 months and she RUNS to class. I never thought I'd be doing tennis at this age but the coach made it so natural. She talks about 'her racket' at dinner every night."

"

"As a former college tennis player, I was skeptical. But the curriculum is legit. She's building actual fundamentals at 2.5 — her pediatrician even noticed the motor skill improvement."

Questions
Good questions,
great answers.
What age can my child start? +
We welcome children from 18 months. Our youngest class is a Parent & Me program specifically designed for 18–24 month olds — the only program of its kind in NYC.
Do I attend class with my child? +
For 18–24 months: yes, parent participation is core — you and your child move together on the court. For 2–3 years: parents stay close by. For 3–4 years: children are independent and parents watch from the sideline.
Can my child do a trial class first? +
Yes — your first class is completely free, zero commitment required. We want you to see the smiles and feel the energy before making any decision.
What is the child-to-coach ratio? +
Always 4:1 — no exceptions. We never compromise on this. If enrollment exceeds 4 children, a second coach is added. Your child gets real attention at every single class.
What should my child bring? +
Just athletic clothes, sneakers, and a water bottle. We provide everything else — mini rackets, foam balls, cones. You show up; we handle the rest.
How does Sawyer enrollment work? +
Every enrollment button opens our Sawyer booking form. Sawyer handles all payments securely — we never store card details. You'll get a confirmation email and can manage everything from your Sawyer family portal.
Ready to give it a try? First class is free.

No equipment needed. No commitment. Just show up and watch your little one fall in love with sport.
